In prison, people discover new things and improve themselves in many ways, in my case I decided to make use of my time and channel my energy into exercise and fitness - studying to become a personal trainer. With limited access to the gym, I began working out in my cell, soon realising there are only so many standard press ups or sit ups a person can do without getting bored or hitting a plateau.Like many people who are interested in their personal fitness, I only knew the basics of training, using weights and cardio. After scouring the library looking for sources to help write these programs, I soon realised that information was very limited, barely skimming the surface of what I was looking for. In fact I was unable to find any other book that contained suitable exercises designed specifically for use in a small space.Eventually I put pen to paper, thinking of various exercises for each body part, writing the descriptions and drawing the diagrams.
