As someone who juggles many jobs between being a doctor, a personal trainer and an author, I understand how difficult it can be to prioritise food and eating well. She graduated in 2012 with a first class degree in Medical Sciences, going on to gain a graduate degree in Medicine (MBBCH) in 2016. Gordon Ramsay

Scottish by birth, Gordon was brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. With an injury prematurely putting an end to any hopes of a promising career in football, he went back to college to complete a course in hotel management and his dedication and natural talent led him to train with some of world's leading chefs.In 1993 Gordon became chef of Aubergine in London and within three years was awarded two Michelin stars. Katja Pantzar

Helsinki-based writer, editor and broadcast journalist Katja Pantzar was born in Finland and raised and educated in Canada. A freelance member of the Finnish public broadcasting company Yle's news team, Pantzar is a regular contributor to Blue Wings, the inflight magazine of Finnair, and Helsinki correspondent for Monocle 24. She is the author of three guides to Helsinki: The Hip Guide to Helsinki, Helsinki by Light and 100 Things to Do in Helsinki. Finding Sisu is the first book Pantzar has written that will be published outside of Finland.

In prison, people discover new things and improve themselves in many ways, in my case I decided to make use of my time and channel my energy into exercise and fitness - studying to become a personal trainer. With limited access to the gym, I began working out in my cell, soon realising there are only so many standard press ups or sit ups a person can do without getting bored or hitting a plateau.Like many people who are interested in their personal fitness, I only knew the basics of training, using weights and cardio. After scouring the library looking for sources to help write these programs, I soon realised that information was very limited, barely skimming the surface of what I was looking for. In fact I was unable to find any other book that contained suitable exercises designed specifically for use in a small space.Eventually I put pen to paper, thinking of various exercises for each body part, writing the descriptions and drawing the diagrams. This lengthy process would eventually become the blueprint for this book.This book is the outcome of my personal journey and I hope in some way it can help you on yours too.

Melissa Hartwig

Melissa Hartwig and Dallas Hartwig are the authors of US hit It Starts With Food and Melissa is a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition, and is a current candidate for a Masters degree in Health and Nutrition Education from Hawthorn University. Dallas co-owned with Melissa a strength and conditioning facility until co-founding Whole9. In 2012, he founded his functional medicine practice, mentoring under one of the most respected practitioners in the country, Dr. Daniel Kalish. They live in Salt Lake City.

Rachel Heng is a Singaporean writer who graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Comparative Literature & Society.
