Being a flat-shoe lover, I'm pleased to see En Brogue, a new book by Hannah Rochell "for people who love stylish footwear without the pain, bunions and back problems". Sounds ideal doesn't it? The book is a "girl's guide to flat shoes" - a great gift for a younger member of the family. I'm old enough to be Hannah's mother but I like where she's coming from. As my pick of the latest autumn styles proves, comfy shoes don't have to look orthopaedic. I hope this ageless style phenomenon is a proper cultural shift and that stylish flat shoes are here to stay.
