These are empowering, compelling tales about taking risks and embracing fear.

Forget what you should be doing, what do you want to be doing? What do you love doing? When to Jump will show you that starting something different is possible. Nothing will change unless you make the change - the journey starts here...

Sunny Side Up

Susan Calman
Authors:
Susan Calman

The Calmanifesto of Happiness. Comedian and broadcaster Susan Calman danced her way across our screens and into our hearts for 10 weeks on Strictly Come Dancing 2017, but how did this ability to find joy change her life?Susan Calman's enthusiasm at being on Strictly Come Dancing was an inspiration to all of us. Cheer Up Love, Susan's first book, had a clear aim: to help people understand depression. Sunny Side Uphas a similarly clear path: to persuade people to be kinder to each other and spread more joy. These are extremely difficult and confusing times - people are cross and shouty. It's exhausting! But more than anything, people like Susan, people who don't hate other people, are apologising for the way that they think. Susan wants to make sure that they don't. That it's ok to love people, that kindness is something wonderful and brilliant and to bring on the joy. So the mission is simple. To get the nation to join her in not being negative. To bring back joy, kindness and community, to find that joy in the little things in life and defeat the hate and fear. Susan is a one-woman army of hope and joy, and she's ready to lead the nation in a different direction. This is her Calmanifesto of Happiness.

After the thrill of promotion to an executive position comes the sobering reality of just how difficult it is to succeed at this level - and how hard it can be to find help. Some 40 percent of new executives don't last 18 months. A failed senior-level hire can cost a company up to $2.7 million. Why do so many employees with strong track records derail when promoted to the executive suite? In this 12th Anniversary Edition of the classic insider's guide to executive career progression, Scott Eblin draws on decades of experience as a leader and executive coach to identify why new executives fail and offers a practical program for achieving success. Beyond tactical advice, Eblin provides a framework for transformational behavior and thinking - for creating executive presence, the confidence that is critical for success. Essential for leaders who have just been promoted to or are on track for the executive level, as well as any executive who needs a refresher.
