Sarah Vaughan read English at Oxford and went on to become a journalist. After eleven years at the Guardian working as a news reporter, health correspondent and political correspondent, she started freelancing. Sarah lives near Cambridge with her husband and two small children.
Mark Vernon

Mark Vernon is writer and author of several books including After Atheism (2007), The Philosophy of Friendship (2005) and Wellbeing (2008). He has degrees in physics and theology, and a PhD in philosophy and is an honorary research fellow at Birkbeck College, London. He also writes for newspapers including the Guardian, TLS and Financial Times, and began his professional life as a priest in the Church of England.
Toby Vieira

Toby Vieira was born in New Delhi and has lived and worked in the UK, France, Switzerland and Belgium, inter alia. He has in the past taken a close professional interest in precious stones, but now works on humanitarian issues for a large international organization. If it wasn't for Marlow's Landing, he would probably be spending his free time birdwatching and pursuing an unrequited passion for the works of Jospeh Conrad.
