Mike Gayle

Mike Gayle was born and raised in Birmingham. After graduating from Salford University with a degree in Sociology, he moved to London to pursue a career in journalism and worked as a Features Editor and agony uncle. He has written for a variety of publications including The Sunday Times, the Guardian and Cosmopolitan.Mike became a full time novelist in 1997 following the publication of his Sunday Times top ten bestseller My Legendary Girlfriend, which was hailed by the Independent as 'full of belly laughs and painfully acute observations,' and by The Times as 'a funny, frank account of a hopeless romantic'. Dr Dina Glouberman is an accomplished psychotherapist and lecturer. Carl Gorham

Carl Gorham created the cult animated show Stressed Eric for BBC2 and adapted the best-selling Meg and Mog children's books for ITV. He has also written sketches, monologues and sitcoms for both radio and television including The Gorham and Swift Show (BBC Radio 2), The Very Old Pretenders (BBC Radio 4) and, most recently, a new sitcom pilot Martin for ITV starring Alan Davies. He has won numerous awards including two British Animation Awards and an Indie, and he is a British Comedy Award and Bafta nominee. He lives in North Norfolk with his daughter.

Michael Goss read English at Leeds University and received an M.Phil. from Birmingham University for his thesis on Victorian supernatural literature. He is a freelance writer specializing in the paranormal, a former member of the Society for Psychical Research and the compiler of a bibliography of poltergeists. Hes is an active member of ASSAP and lives in Essex.

Marian Green (born 1944) is a British author who has been working in the fields of magic, witchcraft and the Western Mysteries since the early 1960s. She founded and continued to organise the Quest Conference held every year in the UK and has edited the magazine Quest since founding it in 1970. She created the Green Circle, a network of magicians and pagans in 1982.She was previously a council member of the Pagan Federation and the editor of Pagan Dawn.Green runs residential and non-residential weekends and correspondence courses through the Invisible College, which she founded. She is the author of over 20 books. Her manuals are widely used in the witchcraft community.

Joyce Grenfell

Joyce Grenfell was born Joyce Phipps, daughter of the youngest of the beautiful American Langhorne sisters, of whom the most celebrated was Nancy, Lady Astor. Her girlhood, spent on the fringes of the famous Cliveden set among such men as George Bernard Shaw and Noël Coward, spanned the twenties, but it was not until 1938, at a dinner party, that she gave an impromptu imitation of a Women's Institute speaker and discovered her genius for dramatic monologue. She was an accomplished actress and starred in many well known films, including the St Trinian's series along with George Cole, Alastair Sim and Frankie Howerd. She was also a regular to television, radio and the stage, and entertained troops during the war with her usual wit, charm and humour. She died in 1979.
John Grogan

Virginia Hanlon Grohl

Virginia Hanlon Grohl, the mother of Grammy-winning rock star Dave Grohl, retired from a thirty-year teaching career, then jumped on tour buses and planes to travel to rock shows throughout the U.S. and Europe with her son and the Foo Fighters. Her next tour, travelling to meet the mothers of other stars, provided the profiles for her first book, From Cradle to Stage.
