This luxurious gift set sees David Suchet’s magnificent recording of the NIV Bible paired with a handsome leather-bound large print edition in a beautiful presentation box. In between filming the final episodes of Poirot, Suchet spent over 200 hours in the recording studio to create the very first full-length audio version of the NIV Bible spoken by a single British actor. His deep, melodic and sensitive narration was a labour of love widely appreciated by Bible readers everywhere. This box set is ideal gift for those who wish to read and listen at the same time.

The Bible included in this gift set is bound in tactile black leather and features gold gilt page edges and two burgundy ribbon markers. The text is set in 12pt large print and marginal cross-references accompany the easy-to-read single-column layout. A sixty-four-page concordance and four pages of colour maps are also included.

The 80-hour Bible recording comes on six MP3 CDs. It can be used on any device that displays the MP3 symbol. You can transfer the audio files for your personal use onto your computer, smartphone, MP3 player and other compatible devices.

British spelling, grammar and punctuation are used throughout.

Reviews

The Telegraph
His appetite for work is frankly alarming. While starring in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night and filming his final Poirot, Suchet has also spent 200 hours in the past year recording the entire Bible - 752,702 words - in his sonorous, antique voice.
The Metro
Fans having withdrawal symptoms for the melodic timbre of a moustachioed David Suchet are in for an aural treat. [...] Suchet who converted to Christianity at the age of 40 after reading a Bible in a hotel room in 1986, devoted 200 hours of his time to recording the audio book, and donated his fee to charity.
