Best known today for fronting Newsnight and The Review Show, Kirsty has been a journalist and a presenter on BBC television for many years. She has interviewed a wide range of subjects, including Margaret Thatcher, Madonna and George Clooney. She has won BAFTA awards for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting, Journalist of the Year and Best Television Presenter.

Now she has turned her talents to fiction writing. Her first novel, “The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle”, was published in March this year and has been warmly received, drawing particular praise for her vivid descriptions of Arran.
Kirsty will be talking about her journalistic career as well as her leap into fiction.
