Kirsty Wark's debut novel tells the story of an extraordinary legacy passed down by a well-known but solitary figure.

Kirsty Wark is well known as a presenter of Newsnight and The Review Shw. She now adds novelist to those accolades with, The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle. Elizabeth Pringle is a well-known but solitary figure living on Arran. When she dies, her will contains the surprising instruction that her house is to be left to a stranger, a young mother she saw pushing a pram down the road thirty years ag. it falls to the chid in that pram, now a young woman, tounpick the past.

Dumfries born Kirsty Wark is best known for fronting BBC Two's Newsnight since 1993, and its weekly arts show, The Review Show. The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle is her first novel.
