Hodder comprises four distinct imprints, publishing a range of new and critically acclaimed authors, including some of the world's best-loved writers.
Hodder & Stoughton

A strong crime and thriller list includes John Connolly, Jeffery Deaver, Elizabeth George, Sophie Hannah and Peter Robinson, and bestselling women's fiction authors include Jojo Moyes, Fiona Walker and Alexandra Potter.

Our non-fiction department publishes Biography, Memoir, Sports, Humour, Health, Lifestyle and the Environment, and our authors include Kate Adie, Michael Parkinson, Simon Pegg, Pam Ayres, Sir Alex Ferguson, John Grogan, John Humphrys, James May and Ray Mears.

Sceptre
Sceptre is the literary imprint within Hodder & Stoughton, and since its inception in 1986 it has operated as a small, boutique publisher within a far larger organisation. We only publish a maximum of twenty new titles a year and this ensures that each of our books is given a great amount of focus and commitment from the moment of acquisition until after the book has been published.

At the centre of Sceptre's ethos is a commitment to publish talented new writers who we believe will be the literary stars of the future. Our list spans from established, prize-winning authors such as Siri Hustvedt, David Mitchell, Melvyn Bragg and Glen David Gold to up-and-coming writers including Chris Cleave and David Benioff.
